Match the pairs
Dopa Memory
Match the sixteen characters
- Memory
- Phone or PC
- About 2 min a run
What is it?
Plain old memory: turn over two of the same character and they are yours. The faces are the sixteen types from the Dopamine Brain Quiz. Twelve, sixteen or twenty cards.
A miss stays face-up for nearly a second — flip it back instantly and there is nothing to remember. Solo runs are scored by how few flips you needed.
Two players on one device works too: match and you go again, miss and it passes over. Captured cards get a coloured dot so you can see who took what.
How to play
- 1Pick a sizeTwelve takes about a minute, twenty about three. Start with twelve.
- 2Turn two overA pair stays; a miss is shown for a moment, then goes back down.
- 3Clear the boardSolo is scored by flips; two players by pairs taken.
Ways to use it
- Alone
Cut the flips
Perfect recall finishes in about 1.5 flips per pair — nine for twelve cards.
- Two people
Pass the device
Match and go again. A streak ends the game in a hurry.
- Three or more
Twenty cards, in turns
Pass the two-player mode around the group. The more people, the more there is to remember.
