What is it?
Pass one device around and each person peeks at a word. Almost everyone sees the same one — but one player sees something different. Then you talk, and try to work out who.
The pairs are close but not identical — ramen and udon, the pool and the sea. Too far apart and it is obvious; too close and nobody can tell. Thirty-five pairs to draw from.
No paper, no pens. The word only shows while you hold it, and a hand-over screen always comes between players. The timer (two, three or five minutes) and the vote are on screen too.
How to play
- 1Set players and timeThree to eight players; two, three or five minutes of talking.
- 2Everyone peeksThe word shows only while you hold. Then hand it on.
- 3Talk, then pointTalk about your word without saying it. When time is up, point together and press the number.
Ways to use it
- Two people
Two does not work
Three minimum. With two, the odd word gives itself away immediately.
- Three or more
One round per break
Three works: one of three is the odd one, so it resolves fast.
- Three or more
Loser draws the next round
Whoever was caught (or got away) runs the next round. It keeps rolling.
