What is it?

Type each Japanese word in romaji before it gets away. The reading is printed under the word, so you can play it even if you cannot read the characters.

Every word you clear spins the slot reels. Three of a kind is a jackpot: ten more seconds on the clock and triple score. Whether the jackpots land is what makes scores jump.

Your rank comes from keystrokes per minute and accuracy, not from score. Jackpot luck moves the score only — it never moves your rank.

How to play

  1. 1Pick a courseBeginner, Normal or Expert. It changes how long the words are.
  2. 2Type what appearsBoth si and shi are accepted for し. Type it whichever way you prefer.
  3. 3Keep going until the clock runs outJackpots add time. The longer you hold on, the longer the run gets.

Ways to use it

  • Alone

    One run a day, climb the ranks

    The result screen tells you how many keystrokes short of the next rank you are. Watch only that, once a day, and you can see yourself improve.

  • Two people

    Same course, fastest hands

    Take one run each and compare keystrokes per minute. Comparing keystrokes instead of score removes the luck and leaves pure skill.

  • Two people

    Loser pays

    One run each, drinks on the line. Best of three runs keeps a single bad round from deciding it.
