What is it?

Numbers flash up one at a time and disappear. When they stop, you type the total. The same drill they run in abacus classes.

Every correct answer makes it faster and longer. Each term gets a shorter moment on screen, and the number of terms grows every few rounds. On the two- and three-digit courses, subtraction starts appearing.

Only a wrong answer ends it — there is no clock. How far you got is the record, and it maps to one of ten ranks. Now and then you pick up a charm, which covers exactly one mistake.

How to play

  1. 1Pick a courseOne, two or three digits. More digits also means more terms from the start.
  2. 2Follow the flashesThe last term changes colour, so you know the end is coming and can brace for it.
  3. 3Type the totalUse the on-screen keys or your number keys. Get it right and the next round starts.

Ways to use it

  • Alone

    One round of three digits

    The first round is the slowest on every course, so even three digits is gettable. Clear it, stop there, and take the feeling home with you.

  • Two people

    Two people, one screen

    Both watch, first to say the total wins. Faster than taking turns, and the loser always wants another go.

  • Three or more

    Same course, furthest round wins

    Everyone runs the same course; deepest round takes it. The rank does the scoring for you.
